Nearly 90,000 Michiganders have enrolled in a Health Insurance Marketplace plan since Open Enrollment began on November 1, according to the Weekly Enrollment Snapshot released today by CMS.
A total of 87,717 individuals in Michigan selected plans on HealthCare.gov in the past 4 weeks, an increase of nearly 17,000 enrollments from the previous week’s report. Nationally, 2,781,260 pe
ople selected Marketplace plans.
The final number of plan selections associated with enrollment activity during a reporting period may change due to plan modifications or cancellations. In addition, the weekly snapshot only reports new plan selections and active plan renewals and does not report the number of consumers who have paid premiums to effectuate their enrollment.
Open Enrollment ends on December 15, 2017. Consumers who already are enrolled in a Marketplace plan will automatically re-enroll in their current plans if they do not visit HealthCare.gov and select a new plan prior to December 15. Consumers who are new to the Marketplace also need to adhere to the December 15 deadline. Enroll Michigan’s network of Navigators are available to provide in-person enrollment assistance.
